The Client

It is often said that the kitchen is the heart of the home, and for this Inspired Interiors client, that is especially true. As a mom who loves to cook with her children, Carolyn finds herself in her kitchen every day, creating new recipes, tweaking ingredients, choosing the perfect seasonings; cooking is a true expression of her passion and creativity. Cooking with her children is one of the joys of her daily life.

The Project

Inspired Interiors was entrusted with renovating Carolyn’s favorite space, the kitchen, as well as addressing a dated master bath. Tired wall-paper needed to be removed from both rooms, and updates to countertops, sinks and lighting were addressed in the kitchen. Inspired Interiors added new granite countertops, a new composite sink to allow for quick clean-up, new pendant lighting and new canned lighting directed on the island to illuminate her work space.

The Inspiration

The rest of the home had been repainted in a fresh, new color palette and Carolyn wanted to similarly refresh the kitchen and bath. The color palette used in the rest of the home informed the choice of granite and paint colors for the kitchen, and the master bedroom color influenced the paint choice in the master bath. Carolyn was very open to exploring a range of options and Meg enjoyed working with her to find her own unique design aesthetic.
